Title: Cozy Summer Midlife Romance
Review: Omg, I love the playlist at the beginning of the story. This is Hazel’s story, and while the books are interconnected and standalone, it helps if you read The Pumpkin Spice Cafe. Hazel is a bibliophile, and her bookstore is what dreams are made of. But she feels stuck, stagnant. She is almost thirty, and she still has the same friends, the same small town, and no romance in her own life. Hazel is looking for an adventure, not just one, in her next read. Noah, the town fisherman and playboy, seems hot for Hazel. But he is a sweet friend offering to assist her in her desire for adventure. I have an idea of who is leaving the clues. It is obvious, but of course, the mystery has to continue. They are very swoony and romantic, minus the defacing of excellent books. But the author does a great job of capturing the seasonal summer vibes. I don’t know that casual and more than friends are in Hazel’s vocabulary, but why not? It is summer, and Noah is like a summer breeze. Hot, swoony, sweet, and riddled with unexpected surprises. This book does get steamy, and they break more of their boundaries, and I love that he falls first. This is truly an opposites attract story. The surprises keep coming, but this summer romance gets a little dreary toward the end, and then it pops back up like a heat wave. Noah is excellent, the perfect book boyfriend, and Hazel has come a long way but still doubts herself.Summer leads in Autumn as the story ends. The time jumps are fast, but the story is delightful either way. I loved this book; it was even better than The Pumpkin Spice Cafe. The ending of the book is fantastic and so sweet. After reading this charming summer romance, I’m so excited to read the next story by this author, The Christmas Tree Farm,

Title: Sweet, cozy & fun
Review: The Cinnamon Bun Bookstore is the second book in the Dream Harbor series by Laurie Gilmore and itâs another really cute, comforting small town romance read. The banter is quote-worthy, the romance is heart-warming and character growth and insight is significant. This story follows Hazel, the steady, quiet, responsible bookstore worker who is on the verge of turning thirty and regrets her âsafeâ existence. She wants to break the mold that sheâs created for herself, live without regrets, try new things and enjoy a summer of fun. When she begins to find clues in random books in the romance section that have highlighted quotations, she considers it her call to action and decides to follow them like a treasure hunt. Noah is the town playboy who runs fishing tours and is happiest when outside. Heâs as nice as can be, but feels like he has disappointed his family and is a not worthy of high esteem. He agrees to help Hazel follow the clues and fulfill her summer of fun, but is he in it only for the summer? The plot is light and sweet, the story is entertaining and easy to read, and though there were times when the lack of communication trope was just as frustrating as it always is, it was still an enjoyable summer read. It was a bit repetitive with its constant declarations of personal failure and flaws, and more steamy that Iâd prefer, but overall, The Cinnamon Bun Bookstore is a delightful story and even better than the first!

Title: The Cinnamon Bun Bookstore is one of my top books of the year if not my favorite!
Review: Where do I even begin? Well, first our main characters in this book are Hazel and Noah. Hazel works at the local bookstore and is more of a safe and predictable person. She doesn’t really do anything reckless in her life and now that she is going to be turning thirty this year she has started to feel like she wasted her twenties and didn’t have the fun you are supposed to. Noah however is the opposite of Hazel. He can be unpredictable and is always up for an adventure. So it is perfect when Hazel starts to get secret messages at work and Noah happens to be up for helping her figure out this mystery. This book is such a cozy read and had me invested the whole time I was reading. Thankfully this is told from a Dual POV which I enjoy being able to read through both characters’ perspectives. I believe that it allows us to understand both main characters more. I fully related to Hazel and loved her character so much. Noah is a great match for her he balances her out and leads her out of her comfort zone which I think everyone needs sometimes. Just like Hazel encourages Noah to see his worth and to be easier on himself. The romance between our two main characters was so exciting yet frustrating (In a good way!). Both of them went into it saying “It’s casual” yet they both had feelings for each other and had me wanting to knock their heads together. Though I understood why that happened I think it brought them closer together and had them getting to know each other more!Oh, don’t even get me started on the spice scenes in this book! The second book of the Dream Harbor series tops the first book when it comes to the spicey bits. All the scenes just felt heightened in this book and had me on the edge of my seat ð¤The Cinnamon Bun Bookstore had me a mess of emotions, I was even close to tears at one point. This book was just that good. If you’re looking for a cozy and sweet story with a little mystery on the side I recommend this book! I can’t wait to read the next one in the series.

Title: a cute story
Review: I read this as a follow up to Pumpkin Spice Cafe and this one was cute and the ð¶ï¸ was increased but it felt very redundant at times. The inner dialogue was nice but it didnât need to be the same scenario each time. Overall it was cute and a cozy story for beginning of fall.

Review: I gave up on romance novels well over a decade ago. Too many unhealthy portrayals of overly aggressive âyou say no but you mean yesâ men and women all too happy to walk away from anything they built for themselves because some dude is great in bed.On a whim, I picked up Pumpkin Spice Cafe. I literally read it in one sitting – finishing at 3am – and immediately ordered The Cinnamon Bun Bookstore.Maybe the genre changed in the last ten years, but holy hell is it so refreshing to see healthy relationships shown in a sexy light. People working on themselves, and even acknowledging theyâll keep working on themselves if the relationship doesnât work. People working on their own issues with and without help. Showcasing that a story about a relationship can still be good with only a sprinkling of drama (post-it note theory still exists in these books, so thereâs no new ground there but hey, itâs a formula that works).Iâm sad there will only be four in the series. I love them.

Review: Ich konnte nicht widerstehen âThe Cinnamon Bun Book Store zu lesen, nachdem ichâ The Pumkin Spice Cafe â aka “Meet me in autumn” gelesen hatte.
