This preliminary step will save you from second-guessing the design once you start edging, and speed up your work.
– Take note of the soil condition as you prepare to begin. If the soil is too wet, your carefully-planned borders may lose their sharp edges. Alternatively, if the ground is too dry, you may find that you are unable to create the smooth lines you are seeking.
– An even depth of edging looks clean and professional. Work to maintain a consistent ridge of between 2” and 4” as you create your beds.
– To minimize strain on your body, use the extra wide footplate to help you insert the Edger-Chopper into the soil. Rock the blade gently by pushing on the handle for additional leverage.

Having a cutting edge on a tool like this is silliness.You have to use leg power and brute force with these tools, unless you are working tilled land.This tool stands up to my foot power and does its job without flex of any kind.It’s solid, and it will last…..a good tool…and for Amazon, I dare say the best you’re going to find here.

Review: At first I wasn’t really sure which way to turn it to get the best edge. I experimented a little to find what worked best for me. Cut some nice clean line and makes it easy to dig out the weeds and crabgrass! There is no assembly required it is not heavy or hard to handle and I am female and 71.

Review: It cuts the ground easily and the offset of the blade can be used in both direction depending on what you need. It holds up great and feels well built. Iâm 6 foot 4 and itâs tall enough to use for me. Doesnât weigh too much so itâs great for big projects.

Review: I don’t know how to operate the motorized edgers you rent from the hardware stores, so I purchased this edger after seeing it on Instagram. This edger is wonderful. It may deep cuts into my overgrown edging and saved my back from trying to use a shovel. I would highly recommend this for women who are trying to spruce up their yard and don’t know the mechanics of how to use some of the rental equipment out there.
