Briefly Aleppo Soap: Aleppo Soap, first introduced to Europe by the Crusaders in the 11th century, is one of the oldest and most valuable soaps known in history. For this reason, it bears the title of the ancestor of soaps. What makes Aleppo soap special is its traditional production that has not changed for centuries and the fact that it is made by using Olive Oil and Bay Seed oils together without using any preservative additives. These natural oils ensure that Aleppo soap has high moisturising properties and can be used on all skin types.
Olive Oil
Olive oil contains high amounts of vitamin E, vitamins A, D and K; calcium, phosphorus, potassium, sulphur, magnesium, small amounts of iron, copper, manganese and many minerals useful for the body. Thanks to this content, it moisturises, nourishes and protects the skin. Olive oil is also used in the treatment of skin diseases, removal of blemishes on the skin, slowing down the signs of aging, acne treatment and make-up removal.
Laurel Oil
This wonderful oil is rich in vitamins and minerals that are extremely suitable for skin care. Laurel oil is effective in combating hair loss and strengthening the hair fibre. It revitalises the hair and makes it stronger and shiny. It also cleanses the scalp and eliminates dandruff naturally.
Traditional Production Method
First stage paste making
In a large cauldron, olive oil is saponified by boiling it with water and soda for about 20 minutes. Then the oil from the bay leaf and seed is added and the preparation is thoroughly mixed. The resulting paste thickens and turns green.
Hardening and cutting the putty
Keep the thickened dough in the moulds to harden. After it has hardened sufficiently, soap bars are obtained by cutting.
Curing
The resulting soap bars are left to cure in a place out of the sun for 9 months until the soap turns golden. The cured soaps are stamped and ready for use.

Title: These Bar Soaps Delivered on the Represented Correct Weight
Review: I have had trouble with other Aleppo soap marketers delivering on the weight stated in their marketing verbiage, but this pack with two bars weighed in at 14.2 ounces which means they succeeded in delivering as promised. The scent on these bars is milder than than some I have received recently; there is no added perfume, it’s just the natural scent of alkali and saponified olive and laurel oils. In any case the soap does not leave any scent that clings and lingers after bathing. I find this soap cleans well but does not dry out my skin or leave any tight feeling. I appreciate that these were an honest weight. I will definitely try Magic Shopping LLC again when it comes time to reorder. The bars of soap came wrapped together in a piece of brown craft paper with their label and then wrapped in thin plastic film. The country of origin is stated as Turkey. I have seen complaints from buyers over the fact that the soap is not literally from Aleppo, but Syria has been in the midst of a civil war for years now. There is nothing about this soap that gives me pause to believe that it is inauthentic with respect to ingredients or process.

Title: price is amazing, love the soaps
Review: lasts for so long, and i shower twice a day, the lathering is amazing, and i felt genuinely clean after usage. i have keratosis pilaris, and it has lessened over time but it hasnât gone away completely, so i wouldnât use this for that sole reason, same with hyperpigmentation. however, as a soap, this is amazing! i havenât tried it as a shampoo but i have heard great things from using it on hair as well.

Title: Is a great soap, but not super moisturizing
Review: I bought this soap around a month ago because my boyfriend did research on how old the recipe is and how much better it is for you than pretty much all the body washes you find at the store. That being said I wanted to try it out with him and we ended up really liking it. The smell is very earthy and interesting, it was a little strange at first but then I grew to like it. However, I do have pretty dry skin that is prone to eczema and I didn’t find it to help moisturize my skin all that much. So if you have dry skin I would still recommend to continue to apply lotions or moisturizer after using this soap. Overall I do enjoy it and seeing how basic the ingredients are I will be purchasing again.

Title: It’s unique
Review: I know everyone complains about the smell but to me, it’s the smell of authenticity. I have a collection of ceremonial African masks that smell smoky, just like this soap. Mass-produced masks don’t smell like this. It’s very distinctive. I feel this soap is similar. I’ve used it on my face and body and have experienced no dryness, reactions or anything negative. If I’m going to spend money on soap, I’d rather support a small business.

Review: I have gone through a 4 year quest for the best soap for me. This is it folks. The most luxurious cleaning and awesome skin and hair are my results with this Jusiza Alepo soap. I have had dandruff all my life, 49, and to my disbelief, after trying many products in the past, a drastic improvement tomy scalp and skin. I have a big beard and it has never felt so nice and soft as well. I love this soap, highly recommended.Large bar about 3.25 x 2.25 x 2 inches, lasts a long time, very neutral smell that does not carry into the world. Solid value for what I got.
